Critical illness can strike at any time and if you don’t have a sound plan for dealing with such a tragic event or have the finances to be able to afford healthcare or even to take time off work, this makes healing and recovery even more difficult. It’s important to not put off purchasing. At the very least, get informed, get a quote – even some insurance is better than none. There are options available such as Return of Premium in the event you never become critically ill. We have even seen first-hand where illness has struck and has been overcome allowing the Insured the ability to celebrate her quick recovery with a family vacation using the remainder of her lump-sum received.
Critical Illness insurance (also referred to as Dread Disease insurance) is designed to pay a lump sum cash payment to the policyholder if diagnosed with one of the illnesses specified on a predetermined list such as Cancer, Heart attack, Stroke, Paralysis or Blindness.

Sympathetic & Caring My insurance agent's name is Janice Pottie, however, I call her Rockstar. I have been dealing with Janice for almost a year and she has always presented herself in a very friendly and professional manner. In the summer of 2010, I had the misfortune of being involved in 2 car accidents within a 4 week span. It was a very stressful time for me because I'm a newly graduated driver and I'd never been in an accident before. Having Janice to help me through the process was fantastic. She listened to my concerns, answered all my questions, no matter how many or how often. I also found her to be very sympathetic and I knew she cared about the situation I was in and would do whatever she could to help me through it. In my experience dealing with Janice, she has also been very knowledgeable, detailed and quick to give me all the information I need for whatever the situation may be. I feel very confident in recommending Janice Pottie to my friends and family as an insurance agent that you can trust. Thank you so much, Janice, for the service you have provided me. I greatly appreciate it.
Going the Extra Mile From working in customer service myself, I know it can be a challenge dealing with all types of people. Sadly, the public is the first to make a complaint, but never a thank you, it seems. Peter Aalders was a pleasure to deal with and certainly gave me the information accurately and promptly. Peter even commented on the discounts he applied and the different companies he contacted to give me the info I needed to make my decision. That was the 'extra mile' he gave to an unknown caller. Thank you for such prompt response and being so courteous on the phone to me, including the receptionist!
I wanted to put in a good word for Janice who has been absolutely excellent to work with. I had been with another company for many years and was just introduced to Janice via my boyfriend this year. She has been very efficient and knowledgeable! A real pleasure to work with.
WRASCIALLY WABBIT?!? We have been with founders for 17years! Recently we were driving on the Highway when a Rabbit yes a Rabbit literally jumped out in front of our Newer Sante Fe and jumped right at our Vehicle!!! We thought wow bet that will leave a mark. When we got to our destination you can imagine our shock when part of the rabbit was still in our bumper!! I called Janice Pottie whom I have dealt with for years and she advised us quickly on what to do and we called the 1800 number to report it. Janice has always been so great with us, its like I have known her for years and have never met her in person. Liam was great to deal with and followed up to make sure we were happy with the work done, the rental etc. Who would have known a "WRASCIALLY WABBIT" could cause so much damage!!! Thanks again.
Beyond the Call of Duty My daughter and I were in a car accident on December 11th. I was told on December 22nd that my car was a total loss. I was called by Janice Pottie on December 23rd to let me know that the cheque had arrived. I was very thankful for her call and email. She had told me which documents I needed to pick up the cheque. I arrived after the office was closed, however Steven Taylor stayed late until I arrived. I arrived with the wrong paperwork. I then asked Stephen if he could meet me in the office once I found my paperwork, which we thought would be between Christmas and New Year. However, I had gotten home and found the paperwork that Aviva required. I called Stephen and he came back to the office to meet me! In my opinion, that is way above the call of duty! I have so much respect for him and I want to let you know that he deserves to be thanked. Again, hats off to your company and the fabulous staff you have working there! Again, from the bottom of my heart: Stephen, thank you so much! All the best in the new year!
