Applying for our Community Fund

We believe in giving back to the communities we serve. 

The Huestis Insurance Group Community Fund aims to support the local communities in which we serve.  Our objective is simple: we want to improve the quality of life within the community while supporting the efforts of local volunteers.

Reinvesting resources into our communities is our way of showing our appreciation for the clients who have shown us their support throughout the years. 

How to Apply:
Do you have a project or organization that could use some help? Review our guidelines below to determine if your project is eligible.  If it is, complete the application form and it to HIGCommunityFund@Huestis.ca

Grant Application Process

The Huestis Insurance Group Community Fund aims to support the local communities in which we have insurance brokerages. The project must fill a gap identified in the community, impact a significant number of the community population, improve the quality of life within that community, and involves volunteer support. The project must be located within the servicing area of the local insurance brokerage.


Application Deadlines

  • The last business day of each quarter (March, June, September, December)
  • No late applications will be accepted


Awards Deadline

  • Approximately 6 weeks after submission


How to receive a grant


Eligibility

  • Located within the specified geographic location
  • One request per 12 month period
  • Only registered charities are eligible for grants
  • Non-profit organizations without a charitable number but would like to apply need to complete a Partnership Agreement with a registered charity. 


Size of Grants

  • Up to $5,000


Ineligible Requests

  • Requests to support operating costs
  • Advocacy/political requests
  • Team or club sponsorships
  • Totally government funded organizations
  • Debt retirement
  • Endowment funds
  • Religious requests
  • Awards for a 3rd party
  • Groups who have not completed the entire application process
  • Retroactive funding expenses
  • Fundraising drives
  • Businesses
  • Individuals


Reporting and Promotion Requirements

Grant recipients are asked to promote the Huestis Insurance Group in their promotions and communications and, where appropriate, acknowledge the contribution in a permanent format, i.e. plaque. The receiving organization is also asked to provide a report regarding the completion of the funded project within 12 months of receiving the grant.
